Here Come the Planes!
As
the Metro-Atlanta community prepares to bid farewell Naval Air Station
Atlanta (scheduled for closure later this year), four of its beloved
display planes are in route to the Aviation Museum & Discovery Center.
Four aircraft (A-4 Skyhawk, A-6 Intruder, A-7 Corsair II, and an F-14
Tomcat), several base monuments and other pieces of their history will
be displayed at the Museum as part of its growing aircraft collection.
These items will be used to remember and celebrate the extraordinary
history of the base and the service men and women who served there.
NAS Atlanta has operated in the Atlanta area for 68 years, originally
founded in Chamblee on March 22, 1941 and relocated to Marietta in
April 1959. The base has been an instrumental part of Atlanta and Cobb
County growth. Many people who once served on base still call Georgia
home.

Park which will serve as the exterior display area with a beautiful
natural setting for all to enjoy. We will also offer a unique
playground that encourages learning through play.
We are having fun with an auto crash lab this week. Meanwhile, you need to be studying for your final at home and coming to class with any questions. Study hard! The exam will be your final grade and does count. Don't let it drop your grade!!!
