Some worked in Mrs. Lupo's magazine today and others worked on the debate.
Tomorrow debate items must be finalized.
The very last reading log is due tomorrow.
Reading assignments for the summer are now on Lovinggood's website. For your convenience I am also posting them here. The required book The Wave is currently available in the school store for $6.50.
We began preparing for the debate next week and will continue for the rest of this week.

1st-4th
We reviewed the response to literature, answered an EQ, and took the vocabulary quiz! Monday we will have the final discussion on the THOTS and begin preparing for the debate.
5th
We revised the response to literature assignments. Please come into class on Monday with vocabulary cards and revised response in hand.
Today-We worked on "Democracy Comes to Opium" posters. They are due tomorrow.
Tomorrow-we will spend some time learning how to improve the response to literature papers that were written last week.
Thursday- I will have a computer cart and revisions will be made to the response papers. Please make sure you have an electronic copy available in class if your paper was word processed.
The last 10 vocabulary cards are due. Yeah!
Friday- We will review the revisions to the responses, take the vocabulary quiz, and have a brief discussion on THOTS.
We discussed chapters 21-29 in small groups today. We will finish small groups tomorrow and come together as a whole group to share our thoughts on Friday.

Today was the last day that we worked on our responses to literature in class. The due date for this assignment is Friday.

Two days down and three to go! Whew!
I assigned chapters 21-29 for next Tuesday.
The next time I see you you should bring 10 vocabulary cards. I will be counting them for a homework and a quiz grade. Please be sure to bring them.
Lately, I've had students trying to turn in reading logs a month late. I am trying to hold firm to the stance that the grade will be reduced by 10% each day it is late. Therefore, a reading log that is 10 days late will have already been reduced to 0. Please get the reading logs in on time. That way, there are no problems!

Welcome back from break! From the stories I heard today, it sounds like most of you had a good time!
We looked a few things on line to help us understand HOS a little better. We then discussed and practiced taking following technical direction tests in preparation for the CRCT.
