The Lovinggood School Council is now accepting nominations from parents for three available council member positions. Each Council member serves a two-year term. Nominations are being accepted now through Wednesday, May 12. You can download a nomination form ( Download Nomination Form ) here or by stopping in at the front office of Lovinggood. Here is some information about the mission of the School Council:
- Bring communities and schools closer together in a spirit of cooperation.
- Solve difficult educational problems
- Improve academic achievement
- Provide support for teachers and administrators
- Bring parents into the school-based decision-making process
- Offer recommendations and assistance to the principal on any matter relating to student achievement and school improvement
School Council meetings are generally held every month to two months at 7:45 a.m. (and lasting about an hour). This is a great opportunity to provide input into the direction of our school.
