LA: Today we began our study on idioms. We talked about the connotative and denotative meaning of words. The students had idoms passed out to them and we went over them; where they began in history, and how we use them today. Ask your student what an idiom is and get them to tell you a few.
They are going to make an idiom poster tomorrow and it is due by the beginning of class on Friday, They were given the paper today.

SS: We continued our study on Nationalism and independence in Asia today with learning about Vietnam. The students completed watching a powerpoint on Vietnam and answered 10 questions about their fight for independence from the French and The US involvement in Japan.
