Welcome back. Wow, just 5 days of school in the past 32. It was nice, but now we need to hit the ground running.
LA: Today we began the research process. We took notes from a powerpoint on the steps of research. We also discussed the upcoming research project in class. You will not be writing a research paper but an article on a disease. This week will be instructional totally on the research process. Make sure you see me if you miss a day.

HW: Bring a package of 3x5 notecards (index cards) to class by tomorrow if at all possible.

SS: The students took notes from powerpoint on the colonialism of Africa. They then completed a graphic organizer on the countries of Africa that were acquired by which European country. We will have vocabulary quiz on Friday.
