Mid-term exams will be held in all subject areas during the last two days of school before the break. 3rd and 5th period finals will be Thursday and 4th and 6th period finals will be Friday. This grades will go into Pinnacle.

Monday-Thursday: students are reading and working on their Novel notebooks. Students will have the choice of making an A, B, or C grade on two parts of the notebook. See below.
Vocabulary Enrichment: For an A: Do all 3 sheets; For a B: Do sheets 1-2; For a C: Do sheet 1: For an F: don't do your work :)
Poetry and figurative Language: For an A: Do All sheets; For a B, complete all fig. language and 1 poetry sheet; For a C: complete the Front to back fig. language sheet and 1 poetry sheet; For an F: don't do anything!:)
All work in Novel notebook is due 12/15!
Social Studies:
Monday: Finished up with the notes from the book; identified the biomes and rivers that coorelate to the countries that we are studying; took cloze notes on the Savanna region.
H.W.: Finish the combined map and Savanna region notes using the following powerpoint: Download The-savanna-of-africa1011
Tuesday-Wednesday: Students worked with standards based articles to complete a chart comparing standards G1-3 amongst the countries.
Thursday: Students were given time to study for the map quiz that will be tomorrow. Students compare/shared their African features charts and we took an iRespond check to grade the material. Grades have been updated in Pinnacle.
