Language Arts:
Monday: Finish prewriting and write rough draft for Persuasive Essay on topics from The Outsiders.
Tuesday: Go to the computer lab and either finish the rough draft and revise and proof read, or begin typing revised and edited draft for final draft.
H.W.: Finish up with the editing and revising of the persuasive essay.
Wednesday: Work on grammar review in the Grammar Through Writing class sets.
H.W.: Be ready to do final copy of the persuasive essay.
Thursday: Continue working in the Grammar Through Writing books in class.
Friday: In blue or black ink, write the final copy of the persuasive essay. Be sure to still follow the same formatting as if you were typing the essay.
Social Studies:
Monday: We finished up with the articles from Friday over Economics in the M.E.
Tuesday: We graded the “Which is Which?” handout that covered scenarios of the vocabulary words. We also graded “The Importance of Trade” work and the questions over the Lesson 25 article. Students worked on the GDP handout.
Wednesday: Students finished up with the GDP handout and worked on the Scarcity and Natural Resources article and questions.
Thursday: Students were given the study guide and worked to complete any unfinished work.
Friday: Students finished any unfinished work from last class, including the study guide. When finished, they worked on the comparing and contrasting of the economies of the M.E.
H.W.: Test over Unit 4 will be on November 30.
