Language Arts:
Monday: Preview for the novel Code Orange. We answered anticipation questions and watched a clip on 9/11.
Tuesday: Code Orange Vocabulary pretest; Worked in groups to complete vocabulary terms for the novel. Students broke list up amongst groups and jigsawed to find answers. Tomorrow is the county checkpoint test (like benchmark.) No homework.
Wednesday: Students take County checkpoint test; finish vocabulary. No homework
Thursday: Finish vocabulary for novel. Begin reading Code Orange. The grant that bought our books only bought 100 copies. Therefore, I only have 22 in a class set. I would highly suggest purchasing the book! You can also use Google books to read the first 192 pages of the novel. Monday: Catch up and review for the Unit 4 test on Wednesday.
Tuesday: Bullying Lesson by the counselor. Test over Unit 4 tomorrow!
Wednseday: Test over unit 4. No Homework
Thursday: Begin Unit 5: Africa Geogpraphy; take an anticipation quiz; recieve standards sheet; complete vocabulary terms, physical and political map, and read pp. 497-501 in text and complete two--column notes. Highlight vocab words found in your notes.
Friday: Continued work from Thursday.
