Welcome! My name is Tanesha Mowry and I am so excited to be your teacher! I would like to share a little bit about myself with you. I have been married seven years to my husband, Jeremiah. We have two wonderful daughters: Ella Rose, 5 years old and Adeline, 3 years. We are also excited to be expecting a baby boy in December!
I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2001. I have been teaching for 9 years. Eight of those years have been in Cobb County as a language arts teacher. I am a charter member of the Lovinggood Faculty. This is my 5th year at this wonderful school. I would like to share with you my Three R's: Ready, Responsible, and Respectful. These are the three rules of my class!
I believe that everyone can succeed in my class. I hold my students to high expectations. I expect ALL students to bring their "A" game to class everyday, therefore, it is important that we all put our best foot forward. We must come ready to learn!
Disruptive behavior WILL NOT be tolerated. The school wide behavior management plan will be enforced in my classroom. You are all part of my management team. If we manage ourselves, then everyone will be in check! Each and every one of us is responsible for our own actions. Remember, every action has a consequence- both the good and the bad!
Lastly, respect is a must in my classroom. I am a respectful person and expect it in return. If we all respect one another, then we will have a safe, peaceful environment for which to learn.
Once again, I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of your lives and to make an impact on your education and life! I hope you are as excited as I am and I look forward to my best year yet!
Sincerely,
Tanesha Mowry
