Myth Webquest

We have started our comparing myths from different cultures unit yesterday.  We talked about  what myths are and how they differ from other types of stories

• They explain natural phenomena such as how the earth is created or why the seasons change.
• They are fiction.
• They are not based on actual history.
• They have gods, goddesses, and mythical beasts.

Myth Masters Day!

On Thursday, May13^th the sixth grade is planning an outdoor event based on the mythology unit being studied in Language Arts.  For this day we will need LOTS of parent volunteers and donations.  We hope you will help!

April 19-23

Monday: Today we worked on warm-ups and turned in the nonfiction performance task.  A quiz over w-ups 11-20 was announced for Thursday, 4/22.  We are also in the process of finishing the station work and getting in grades.  Please be patient with the grade book while I collect and enter those grades.

Tuesday: Honor roll celebration and presentation

Wednesday: Finish Station work and intro myth webquest

Thursday: Webquest groups assigned and Context clues quiz #2

Friday: Work on webquest.

April 12-16

Monday: We went over the homework packets.  Reading logs are due 4/14 and we will be going to the library on 4/14.

Tuesday: Work on our CRCT review stations.

Wednesday:Media center visit.  Bring your books for renewal and checkout.

Thursday: Work on nonfiction performance task.

Friday:Work on nonfiction performance task.  This assignment must be completed at home and is due Monday!
