Welcome back eighth grade students! I am so thrilled to be back with you for another great year at Lovinggood. It is exciting to see how much you have grown and matured over the summer, I hope you are ready for your best year yet.
It is important to remember that this is a critical year; you are moving into a new phase with high school coming up on the horizon. Making good choices about your academics and behavior will improve your chances of success in high school, college and beyond. This year we will be focusing on what to expect in high school, magnet school entrance requirements, career exploration, and much much more.
My door is always open if you need assistance with anything, just get a pass from a teacher when you need to see me about academic, personal, social, career or other issues. I also like to see students who have a good report about what's going on with them, or just to say hello. Please try to see me during connections hours unless you are having an emergency that can't wait.
If your parents did not pick up a copy of your seventh grade CRCT reports, you can come and get a copy from me.
I am looking forward to working with you again this year, and wish you well as you embark on your final year of middle school. Let's get off to a great start and make it a fantastic year!!!!!!
