Homeroom - Bring a stamp for your report card if you have not already.  Remember, no stamp and your report card must be picked up by a parent over the summer.

3rd and 5th periods took the final exam today.

2) The Grand Finale - Students completed the government option today.  (5th period completed the history option today since we didn't meet on Wednesday.)

* bring your study guide on Monday - I need to see if completed before you can review.

Thursday

2) The Grand Finale - Students had a chance to finish the history option.  We started the government option today.   Students will finish government tomorrow.

Wednesday

1) warm-up 255-256

2) The Grand Finale - We did not start a new standard today.  Instead, we reviewed common errors on the Geography Option, and students had a chance to revise their work today.  Students needed to then work on the History Option which we will finish tomorrow.

*warm-up quiz starting with 207 is this week

*Final Exam study guide - checked Monday - If you cannot find yours, print one from yesterday's blog.  Remember this is the "Ice Pack" you received already.  If you cannot print one from home, see me during class tomorrow for a second copy.

 

Tuesday

2) The Grand Finale Review - Students needed to finish the geography option we began yesterday.  I will be checking those today.  I went over the instructions for the history options today.  Students should be able to finish the history option tomorrow.

*Final Exam study guide - This is also known as the "Ice Pack" distributed in February as an optional review assignment prior to the CRCT.  Students should still have this in their binder.  If it finished, please begin studying.  If it is incomplete, please finish it and begin studying.  If you cannot find yours, please print it and complete.  If you cannot print it, please see me tomorrow so I can get one for you!

Friday May 13

Warm Up: The scheduled Warm UP check is canceled due to lack of time. We need every second we have today to work on personal finance.

 

Agenda: We will continue with personal finance topics and get as much done as we possibly can. I will be grading all of the finance work this weekend and entering it into Pinnacle by Sunday evening.

 

I want to take a minute and thank all of you for being the best group of students I have ever had. I know there have been ups and downs, but I truly appreciate the time I have been able to spend with each and every one of you.

Warm Ups: 245-246

 

Today we are diving into the world of personal finance. We will learn all about money and how to handle it in a responsible manner. I hope to learn as much as you do!

There are a significant number of you who still have make-up work to do from the Australia unit. I will be pulling you aside today to try and fix this. Please remember that Friday is my last day and I can not help you if things are not in order before then.

Thursday May 5

Warm Ups: 235-236

The Warm Up Binder is completely up to date for anyone who is missing warm ups!

Today we are beginning Australia's history with a short reading about the Aborigines. We will discuss the material in-depth in preparation for a deeper set of cultural readings tomorrow. By Monday we will have covered everything from the arrival of the Aborigines 40,000 years ago from Southeast Asia up to the advent of European colonization. This is an area that our textbook is pretty weak in so we are relying on class sets of various reading material to supplement our knowledge. If anyone needs to check out a packet for the weekend, there will be a sign out sheet on the table tomorrow.

Our assessment for history is tentatively set for next Tuesday, May 10.

By the way, the grades for the economics assessment are looking really good so far, great job all!
