Both classes were given a study guide for the final. It says at the top of the guide Math 1 Essential Skills - these are Math 8 skills that are necessary to be successful in any course of Math 1. Your final covers the entire year - so the guide covers all the skills from this year.

Today, we discussed a different type of function. Your homework is page 51 1-11 - you have a quiz (or mini test) tomorrow on surface area and volume of spheres and piecewise functions. You were also given part 1 of the study guide for the final. For those that were not with us today, I will give you part 1 tomorrow - you will be responsible for at least the surface area and volume of spheres.

We talked briefly about spheres today - your homework is page 239 - 240 1-18 all - you have about 4 days to do it - please do not let me down and not have it Monday.
For those of who either - did not get a circle task, chose not to do the circle task, thought I was just kidding when I said it was due :) I have decided to let your Savannah work take the place of that task. So you can breathe now! Be prepared for Monday and Tuesday - we will talk about piece-wise and step functions and will have a short test. Wednesday, we will get a study guide for the final - and 3rd and 5th your final will be Thursday and 6th your final will be Friday.

Those of you going to Savannah need to be ready to complete the circle test Tuesday when you return. Those of you not going to Savannah will probably have a chance to complete it while they are gone. Those of you who have not started the test - will need to get with me sometime in the next week to set-up a time to come in early and take it. I think that covers everyone.
