The Lovinggood Band Experience starts with the 6th grade beginner band. Any student wishing to be in band must join the 6th grade beginner band. Students will NOT be able to join in 7th grade if they have not already been in band.
There are THREE easy steps to register for beginner band.
Step 1: Band Directors visit all feeder elementaries in the spring (March and early April) to hand out brouchures and info regarding band.

Step 2: Parents attend the band parent interest meeting on Monday, April 16th, 2012 @ 7:00 in the Lovinggood Auditorium (listed in brouchure) for information and to sign up for an "interview".

*** NOTE !!!!!! (if you did not attend the meeting, you MUST CONTACT A DIRECTOR IN ORDER TO SET UP A TIME TO SELECT AN INSTRUMENT. ENROLLMENT WILL NOT BE OFFICIAL UNTIL THEN.)
Step 3: Parents/Students attend one of 3 "interview nights" (Early May) that they signed up for. Each student will have a one on one session with a band director in which they can try ANY instrument they want. Students will select an instrument that very night. Parents have all summer to get band supplies. Interview dates/times are as follows:

Thats it! It's that easy:-) Please do not wait until the first week of school to try and communicate interest in joining band. Classes may be full.
