Our spring concert series concludes with our 8th grade bands on Monday, May 12th. The Concert begins at 7:00 PM. Please note information below:

Dress: Festival Uniform (same as festival - see handbook)
Student Report Time: 6:15 PM (8-1 to band room, 8-2 to stage)
6th Grade auditions are already in progress for the 2008-2009 school year. Auditions are held in three phases:
Phase 1: Rhythms
Phase 2: Scales
Phase 3: Sight-reading
* Every student must audition. Auditions serve as final exam.
7th Grade auditions will begin Monday, May 12th!
We just completed our 6th and 7th grade concerts! Wow! What a fabulous end to a great year! Thanks to all the kids for their hard work.

Wow! What a great turn out at our meeting tonight. We already have 130 kids signed up with several more saying they would email me later. If you missed our meeting...IT IS NOT TOO LATE!!!

Just a reminder that cookie dough can be picked up tomorrow (Friday, March 28th) after school beginning at 4:30. Cookie Dough will be held in the hallway ramp behind the auditorium.
On Friday, March 21st, the Hillgrove band directors will be speaking to all of our 8th grade band students during their band class. Students will be given information packets containing informaton regarding all aspects of the Hillgrove Band program (Auditions, Marching Band, etc...).
Band festival will beging next week for our 7th and 8th grade bands. Each band will be on a seperate day. Please see the FEBRUARY 27th post regarding band festival to download a schedule for the band your student is in.
Also....reminder!!!! Make sure that your student has their proper band uniform per the Lovinggood Band handbook. Students that do not have FULL uniform will be left at school and will not be able to participate. Uniform requirements can be found in the band handbook to the right of this blog.
We had to change the delivery date due to several orders being turned in late. Our new date is FRIDAY, MARCH 28th. See below for details:

* We are aware that many 7th graders will be at Jekly Island. Parents can still come pick-up items.
