CRCT Success

CRCT scores will come home with the report cards we mail home. (For those of you who remembered to bring a stamp)  Here is a sneak peek at some outstanding SS students.

 
The students whose names appear above are members of the Exceeds Expectations Club.  They scored 850 or higher on the CRCT.  Well above the 800 cut off to meet expectations.  Way to go!

 
This much more exclusive list contains the names of my students who are members of the 900+ Club!  Wow......the starred names show the two with the highest overall score for SS among my students.

Finals Under Way

Today we took final exams in 5th and 3rd periods.  We will finish up with 6th and 4th tomorrow.  Absolute last chance to turn in work is tomorrow in homeroom.  A few kids did not take advantage of the re-take this morning.  That opportunity has passed.

Home Stretch! Finals Next two Days

Bring nothing to school tomorrow; except a pencil/pen.  You need a pencil for my test.

Last Chance for C.U.C. Tuesday Morning

Most students did well on the Finance test.  For the handful who did not prove mastery, (Scored less than 80%) there will be a re-take of a similar test on Tuesday at CUC.  The remediation sheet for the re-take will be available Monday. You MUST do the remediation sheet to be allowed to attend CUC.  This is the last CUC this year.

Finals Next Week

Today we checked our study guide and finished taking textbooks up.  We gave out yearbooks as well.

Homework: Study the study guide and pages 87 and 88 in your SSNB for final.  Study recent warm up questions as well.  Warm ups 141-160 due Monday

Late Post- Last Chance to turn in textbooks

Students who have not turned in Textbooks will have to pay 46.00 to the book keeper.  Tomorrow is the last day to turn them in.

Today we took a finance test and collected the take home quizzes.  Most kids(as expected) did well on both.  We will review Friday and Monday for the final exams on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Homework: Finish the final exam study guide.

Extra Study Day- Test postponed to Thursday

Due to the Awards assembly cutting 4th period so short and speeding up 3rd period, I was not comfortable giving the finance test today.  Use the extra time to study.  The test will be tomorrow.  We used our time today to study for the test and review for the final.

Homework: THQ on Finance due date also pushed back!  It is due tomorrow too.  Study for test.

Finance Test Tomorrow

Today we reviewed for the finance test by watching the brain pops on Money/Budgets/Credit cards again.  We gave out a take home quiz that reviews these concepts as well.  Classes had 15-20 minutes to start the quiz, so it may take another 15-20 tonight.  We also reviewed the Budget Practice story and questions.  Some students did not give complete answers and lost points on it.  Some students chose not to do it.

We continued to collect textbooks today.  The last day to turn them in is Thursday.  They cost 46.00.  If they are not returned to me by Thursday, they need to be turned in to the front office.

Homework: Write vocab sentences(if this applies to you)  Complete #22-32 on the final exam study guide. Study for test.
